Deem for Development Organization, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), continued implementing Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) interventions in Taiz Governorate in response to the urgent needs of families affected by conflict and displacement.

Between 3 and 18 September 2026, Deem’s field teams provided emergency assistance to 4,805 displaced families. During the same period, displacement alerts were received covering 8,554 families, while verification processes were completed for 6,408 families.

The response covered nine districts across Taiz Governorate: Al-Ma’afer, Jabal Habashi, Al-Shamayatain, Al-Mudhaffar, Al-Qahirah, Al-Misrakh, Al-Mawaset, Saber Al-Mawadim, and Salh.

On 18 September alone, 533 families received assistance as part of the ongoing response, reflecting continued efforts to reach and support families most in need amid the difficult circumstances of displacement.

Data as of 18 September show that 1,603 verified families have not yet received assistance, underscoring the need to sustain and accelerate response and coordination efforts to ensure that support reaches all verified families.

Deem for Development Organization reaffirms the importance of continued humanitarian support amid growing needs and expresses its appreciation for the support provided by UNFPA, as well as the efforts of field teams, relevant authorities, and partners in reaching affected families and providing them with the assistance they need.
