On Thursday, 3 September 2026, #Deem for Development Organization, funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), concluded its vocational training activities under the Social Cohesion Enhancement Project, celebrating the graduation of 60 young men and women who successfully completed vocational training programs in sewing, electrical supplies, and solar energy systems.
The closing ceremony was attended by representatives of relevant government authorities, including the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, and the Technical Education and Vocational Training authorities, along with representatives of their respective offices in Aden Governorate, as well as a representative of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (#GCERF).
🤝 The event also brought together representatives from the private sector, including Al-Muqbili Company, Tosha Company, and Al-Akhwain Solar Energy Company, along with several other organizations. Their participation strengthens the connection between vocational skills development, labour-market needs, and employment opportunities available to young people.
As a complementary step, coordination is currently underway to support 20 selected graduates, including 10 participants trained in electrical supplies and solar energy, and 10 female participants trained in sewing, by providing additional professional pathways and practical opportunities that can help them transform their newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihoods.
