Her Husband was exposed to a traffic accident that caused the breaking of his legs to stay home. Afrah, 45-year, is a mother of eleven children from Ataizya directorate- Taiz. She was obliged to collect wood and sell them to help her big family.
She had very bad days, in which she felt despair and fear about the future and the fate of her children, until the relief came when the safe space for women and girls – AlAghwal started a training on Bee Keeping .
Afrah says, “I applied for the training, thank God, I was selected among the trainees and gained the skill to take care of beehives. After that, Deem Organization for Development, with the support of @UNFPA , empowered me with a number of beehives to start my own project and be self-reliant ,
during the past two seasons, I had additional 3 bee hives “.
Afrah is working hard to start producing and selling honey to help her family.
