As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen protection and promote the economic empowerment of young people, #Deem for Development continues to implement a vocational training program in Basic Electrical Supplies, targeting 31 young participants under the Multi-Sectoral Child Protection Services component of the project “Strengthening Social Cohesion and Reducing Violence through the Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Youth and Children.”
Running from 5 July to 4 August 2026, the program is designed to equip participants with fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills in electrical supplies. By enhancing their technical competencies, the training aims to improve their access to future employment opportunities and sustainable livelihoods, while supporting positive pathways toward self-reliance and meaningful community integration.
This initiative reflects the importance of providing youth with market-relevant vocational skills that enable them to overcome economic and social challenges, while offering safe and constructive alternatives that contribute to both personal well-being and community stability.
During the implementation of the program, the organization welcomed the project’s National Consultant on a field monitoring visit to observe the progress of the training, engage directly with participants, hear their experiences and feedback, and assess the quality of implementation to ensure the activities are achieving the intended outcomes in line with the project’s objectives.

This activity is implemented with the support and funding of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) as part of a partnership aimed at enhancing protection opportunities and promoting sustainable development for local communities in Yemen.
