Inauguration and distribution of materials and supplies for the Rural Women’s Development Center in Al-Sulu District – Taiz Governorate.

Within the activities of “Tri-cluster activities for vulnerable IDPs and conflict-affected populations in Taiz and Al-Dhale’e”Project, funded by UnhcrYemen, Deem for Development Organization implemented a project to support the rural Women’s Development Center in Al-Sulu District, which aims to empower women and girls and ensure that they obtain skills that will help them provide a Sustainable source of income for them and their families,
Through supporting the Women’s Development Center in Al-Silw District with an integrated solar energy system, supporting and supplying the center with 10 sewing machines, raw materials and tools for the sewing, manufacture of incense, perfumes and handicrafts activities , in addition to building the capabilities of the community committee based on the centre,
The intervention included supporting and empowering 15 heads of families from the displaced and the host community, who had previously been trained at the center in sewing activity, in addition to building their capabilities through a training course in small business management, modern marketing methods, communication skills and effective communication to enhance their skills and abilities in establishing, managing and marketing their projects. They produce their products effectively in order to provide a sustainable income to improve their living conditions and meet their families’ basic needs.
