The project goal :
Through the current project, Deem and UNHCR aims to provide support to Internally displaced Yemeni (IDPs) and host communities in Taiz and Al-Dhale’e Governorates on three specific areas as follows:
1. Protection, Shelter/Non-Food Items, and
2. IDP’s site Management and Camp Coordination (CCCM), representing the tri-cluster lead of UNHCR. With a likely scenario of continuous conflict leading to new and protracted displacements, UNHCR protection interventions will aim at mitigating protection risks and enhancing the protection of IDPs by contribute to address their specific needs.

During this year and as result of receiving 3324 referred cases by CBPN members from the targeted districts in Taiz and Al-Dhale’e of vulnerable effected people to the protection team to conducted protection INAT assessment then to the specialist to provided protection services such as Psychosocial counselling, PFA, PSS, legal Assistance, child protection, case management and external referral, 488 awareness sessions with 9660 individuals conducted by CBPNs members, the topics were about the Community Centre services, Phycological Frist Aid as trained the CBPNs members on it, Importance of Identified cards, education, and PSS, as result of assessment that was done for 8985 households, Deem follow-up to receive and organize HHs benefiting from the services provided by CC within the framework of the project and to ensure allocating specific days for women and others specific days for men and receive cases without mixing women with men, the highlight results for the protection activities and services
Where that Deem has provided 1500 Shelter/ ESKs assistance during 2022 with total of 3617 Individuals in the targeted district of Taiz and Al-Dhale’e Governorates, Also Deem has provided 2344 NFIs assistance to 2344 HHs during 2022 in the targeted district of Taiz and Al-Dhale’e Governorates, the targeted families were vulnerable effected families, the equal access was ensured protection mainstreaming through multiple steps, starting from creating two ques, one for males and another one for females. Alongside those two ques, a separate path for the elderly people, people with disabilities, pregnant, and children if any. The task of managing their access is assigned to two members of the distribution team, that is how we maintain order during the distribution. We usually have loaders (Workers) helping beneficiaries to carry their received kits from the sub warehouse toward the exits.
TS installation processes, in Taiz, during the period of this reporting year, Deem has distributed 200 TS to HHs eligible in Taiz governorate at their IDPs sites and 120 TS of them already installed by the contractor’s team
CCCM – SMC Achievement, through this project; Deem is supervising and managing 12 IDPs hosting sites (8 sites in At Ta’iziyah, one site in Mawaiyah and 3 sites in Dimnat Khadeer districts of Taiz governorate, according to the cluster guidelines, Deem started managing the sites by established and selected 24 community committees members in 12 managed sites under 3 mobile team working as community committees in the IDPs sites with total of 24 members (2 members for each sites) and ensured building their capacities through regular meetings. The committees in the managed IDPs sites monitors and assesses the gaps for all sectors then refers the gaps to the relevant sectors within Deem or to the CCCM cluster to advocate for providing services, they also monitoring the IDPs population size and movement, where that there are 1839 IDPs HHs with 10464 Individuals living in 8 IDPs sites at At Taiziah district and 168 HHs with 841 Individuals living in one IDPs site at Mawiah district, and 249 IDPs HHs with 1392 individuals living in 3 IDPs sites at Dimnat Khadir distric, added to the two managed sites, the community committees reached 15978 individuals through awareness campaigns and the maintenance activities has been done at the IDPs sites by implementing two maintenance projects in the protection and WASH sectors that aimed to achieve and ensure physical safety and security and mitigate protection, health, and WASH risks through care and maintenance of camp facilities and site improvements, the protection implemented activities are first activity Providing and installing 45 lighting pole points and install one solar system in the sites second activity Supply 41 fire extinguishers, 41 first aid kits to 12 managed sites, third activity community Committees and focal points obtained the capacity for first aid lifesaving and trained on the use the fire extinguishers, then Wash implemented activities of first activity Suction the full latrines pits and dig one latrine sewage in the IDPs Sites second activity Supply and install water points, and maintain the old water tabs in the sites third activity Provide and Install solar inverter.
Quick Impact Projects
Within Quick Impact Projects activity, Deem have started the training for the women and girls support activities at Taiz and Al-Dhale’e governorates, the training targeted 132 Women and Girl from the IDPs and host community in Four different vocations, however the targeted trainees were trained through contracting with specialist trainers (female) in the specified vocations with practical training for a period of one month.
