#Deem for development, concluded the activities of safe spaces in #Qataba, Al-Dhalea Governorate, as part of the life-saving services and livelihood enhancement project for the most vulnerable women and girls, supported by Yemen Humanitarian fund UN OCHA Yemen.

The final day witnessed the empowerment of 88 women and girls trained in sewing, incense and perfume making, and accessories, as part of the courses implemented during the project.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Al-Dhalea, Mr. Abu Yaqub Sufyan, the Deputy Director of Qataba District, Mr. Mohiuddin Al-Dhahabi, and several local officials. During the event, Mr. Basem Al-Adhri delivered a speech praising the efforts of the trainees and the space team, highlighting the importance of these trainings in economically empowering women and improving their living standards.
A total of 14 training courses were conducted during the project period, targeting 500 trainees from women and girls in various fields. The training resulted in the empowerment of 88 trainees to start their own projects, which will contribute to improving their living standards and enhancing community stability amid difficult living conditions.
