Within the ongoing efforts to empower local communities, Deem for Development Organization, within its inspiring project to empower local communities in Taiz Governorate (Al-Maafer, Al-Ta’iziyah) districts, funded by INTERSOS, supports and strengthens community initiatives in areas deprived of services to implement small, purposeful projects to serve the people of the local community.
 
One of the most prominent of these initiatives is the “Community Renaissance Initiative towards Education” in Al-Maafer District, Al-Sawa Isolation. This initiative was able to renovate six classrooms in the AlAhad AlJadeed School in Al-Mashjab in Al-Maafer District, in addition to renovating the main gate and two subsidiary gates, providing classroom chairs, and completing the construction of the school wall, in addition to improving the school’s courtyards.
 
This community initiative reflects the strengthening of joint efforts between organizations and institutions by empowering local communities, contributing to the development of educational infrastructure, and enhancing learning opportunities for students in deprived areas.
