The safe spaces in Qaataba in Al Dhalea Governorate and Maqbana in Taiz are a source of hope for women and girls, especially in light of the difficult conditions that Yemen is going through.
Despite the economic and social challenges that Yemen faces, Safe Spaces for Women and Girls works to provide free training programs for women and girls in the areas of vocational skills such as (sewing, accessories making, and handicrafts) and life skills such as (project management and marketing), which aims to empower the most vulnerable women and girls. Economically, and to enhance their abilities to obtain a permanent source of income, improve their standard of living, and secure their life requirements.
These programs come within “Provide life-saving services and livelihood opportunities for women and girls in Qataba – Al Dhalea and Maqbanah – Taiz” project, which is implemented by Deem for Development Organization with support of Yemen Humanitarian Fund.
