“We no longer find it from our marginalized situation, from the poverty that we suffer , or the diseases that my husband have, or from this war that displaced us from our homes.” This is how Haji Ali’s wife began her conversation with us, expressing the harsh conditions they are going through, and the war that forced them to flee.
The family of Haj Ali suffered during their displacement from Mawza to Mawiyah District in Taiz governorate, especially in light of the illness of Haj Ali, who suffers from the effects of a stroke he previously had , which made him lose his ability to speak and move for a period of time, and despite his recovery, he is unable to support his family due to his illness and old age ..
The family of Haj Ali is one of 8 families who were displaced from Mawza district due to the conflict in their area. Haj Ali was forced to live in camps for the marginalized displaced there, but this was not an easy thing because he did not have the most basic things of food, hygiene materials and clothes that would help them in their new situation.
As soon as Deem RRM team was reported by concerned authorities about the presence of new displacement cases, the team rushed to response to these cases, including Hajj / Ali Ahmed and his family, registering their data and providing emergency assistance ,consisting of Food Materials ,hygiene’s , dignity kit , and water bottles .Also report the needs of beneficiaries and their status to the concern organizations to provide other services to them.
Deem RRM team supported by UNFPA, is working to provide emergency response kits to these newly displaced families at a time when they are in dire need of the emergency aid that this bag contains. putting a smile on their faces in the midst of the suffering they are experiencing.
